Silver North Resources Corp. is preparing for an ambitious 2024 drilling program at the Tim Property in Yukon Territory, with exploration partner Coeur Mining, Inc. planning to initiate work in June. The program will focus on uncovering silver-lead-zinc Carbonate Replacement Deposit mineralization similar to that found at Coeur's Silvertip Mine Property, located just 19 kilometers from the Tim Property. According to Silver North Resources CEO Jason Weber, the exploration campaign aims to complete approximately 2,000 meters of drilling from up to six drill pads, testing potential mineralization along nearly 2,000 meters of strike length of prospective stratigraphy.
The strategic advantages of the Tim property include its rare road access in Yukon exploration territory. The property's proximity to the access road leading to the Silvertip mine provides significant logistical benefits that could accelerate exploration progress. This accessibility, combined with the region's established geological potential and previous findings, underscores the project's significance in the broader Yukon mining landscape. The program will include not only drilling but also comprehensive geochemical sampling and development of drill pads and access infrastructure to support the extensive exploration efforts planned for the 2024 season.
Weber emphasized the exploration's potential to add substantial value to Silver North Resources' portfolio and share price, noting that this value creation could occur independently of silver price fluctuations. The company's primary objective is achieving a discovery that enhances its overall corporate value, demonstrating its commitment to advancing exploration efforts and unlocking the full potential of the Tim Property. The CEO's comments highlight the company's strategic focus on creating shareholder value through targeted exploration initiatives rather than relying solely on commodity price movements to drive valuation improvements.
The 2024 drill campaign represents a significant step forward in the partnership between Silver North Resources and Coeur Mining, leveraging Coeur's extensive experience and resources in the region. The exploration approach targets CRD-style mineralization, which has proven successful at the nearby Silvertip operation. The program's design, focusing on nearly 2,000 meters of prospective stratigraphy, reflects the partners' confidence in the property's geological potential and their commitment to systematic, thorough exploration methodology that could yield significant discoveries in the coming exploration season.
