Zonte Metals Advances Cross Hills Copper Project with Significant Mineralization Discovery

Zonte Metals Inc. has reported significant exploration advancements at its Cross Hills Copper Project in Newfoundland and Labrador, marking substantial progress in the development of this district-scale mineral system. The company's systematic seven-year exploration program has transformed the project from an early-stage property into an advanced exploration-stage Iron Oxide Copper-Gold system featuring nine drill-ready targets. Recent discoveries include copper and silver mineralization at the N Dunns target, providing critical validation of the project's mineral potential.

The N Dunns target has emerged as a particularly promising development with surface discoveries of copper-silver mineralization positioned above a substantial geophysical anomaly. Fieldwork identified IOCG-style mineralization in narrow veins measuring 2-15 centimeters wide, traceable for distances up to 150 meters before disappearing under cover. A selective grab sample from one vein returned assay results showing 0.5% copper, 14.3 grams per tonne silver, trace gold content, and iron concentrations exceeding 10%. The company emphasizes that grab samples are selective by nature and may not represent mineralization throughout the entire target area.

Comprehensive geophysical surveys, particularly high-resolution gravity data, have identified strong, deep-seated anomalies interpreted as potentially representing mineralized systems. These anomalies display impressive dimensions reaching up to 3,300 meters in length, 600 meters in width, and 1,000 meters in depth, with many remaining open along strike and at depth. The targets exhibit gravity anomalies ranging from 1 to 5 mGals, with volumes suggesting significant tonnage potential for future resource development.

With approximately $5 million invested in systematic exploration including geophysics, geochemistry, and geological mapping, Cross Hills now positions as an advanced exploration-stage project with geological characteristics analogous to globally recognized IOCG systems. The project shares similarities with major deposits such as Olympic Dam and Prominent Hill in Australia, indicating substantial mineral potential. The discovery of surface copper mineralization spatially above the N Dunns anomaly has prompted plans to advance this target to the drill stage, with additional exploration including infill and extensions to soil and gravity grids.
